Counter Punch
Designing for Two Player Mobile Game

Counter Punch is a 2D top down fighting game for mobile phones. Counter Punch was designed from the beginning to be held and played by two people on the same phone. This came with some difficulties with UI Design where the design had to be mirrored for both players while still looking aesthetically pleasing. I also wanted to create a character select screen that not only introduced the characters' backstory but also their gamestyle/movelist.  I took inspirations on vintage boxing posters from Muhammad Ali's time.

Mech Fighter
Conveying a theme throughout a project

With Mech Fighter, I wanted to improve a game jam project I released the previous year. I decided to create a main menu with a page to show the player how to play the game. For the theme, I wanted to give the feeling of watching the events through a monitor. I took inspiration from Ironman's display hud and Megaman Zero. The introduction to the game is a direct call back to one of the introductions in Megaman Zero 3. To sell the feeling of a monitor, I added a glow effect to the edges of the project and UI items. I also created a script to have it seem that the text is being typed out to the player when the open a new page.

Fly Together
Creating an experience through out a game

When participants entered the Secret Santa Jam 2020, they received a letter from another contestant on a game they would like to receive as a gift. Participants would create a video game with the contents in that letter. The letter I received was of a young couple who enjoyed walking in the park and bird watching. I wanted to create a story that was like a fairy tale being told to you.
